MicroImpulse is developing a novel, non-invasive detector of pneumothorax. The compact hand-held sensor emits microwave pulses, and analyzes reflected electromagnetic energy in real time from the patient. The condition is detected by processing the varieties in tissue/substance characteristics. Our state-of-the art digital signal processing techniques ensures on-site diagnostic data display on the unit.
