Vital Sign Monitoring

The Vital Sign Monitor consists of a wireless and non-invasive/contact sensor and an Accompanying data collection and display unit. The device measures an individual's heart and respiration activity, and continuously relays this information to a monitoring facility. The medical follow-up can easily be connected to a nursing station or directly to staff via pagers/wireless handsets. The position of the sensor is not critical, since built-in calibration features ensure optimum adaptation for distance and positioning.

MicroImpulse’s non-invasive, non-contact and wireless heart and respiration technology represents reductions in cost for certain monitoring situations due to less disposable sensors, less cleaning of reusable sensors, less time spent on attaching and removing sensors and general ease of use. MicroImpulse’s technology also represents improvement in the quality of care since mobility is increased, possible allergic reactions are avoided, the patient can be fully dressed and the discomfort and stressful feeling of being monitored is reduced. Additionally, there are considerable advantages in situations where patient is severely burned or in an incubator.
